The students were introduced to measurement and calibration methods applied in modern laboratory infrastructure, as well as practical approaches used to ensure compliance with international requirements.
An information tour was organized at the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMİ), operating under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for master’s students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), one of Kazakhstan’s leading higher education institutions.
As part of the information tour, the students familiarized themselves with the activities of AzMİ’s laboratories specializing in time and frequency; radio-frequency power and distribution parameters; electromagnetic pollution; volume; medical measurements; electrical resistance; kinematic viscosity of liquids; temperature; hardness; wavelength; photometry; and pressure measurements.
The students were provided with detailed information on measures undertaken at AzMİ to modernize its laboratory network and strengthen its technical and material base. Information was also provided on the modern equipment used at the Institute, its measurement and calibration capabilities, and the methodologies applied in laboratory activities.
