The new state standard provides organizations with practical guidance and recommendations for identifying risks in business processes and assessing their potential impact on business operations.

The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), operating under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has adopted a new state standard, AZS ISO TS 22317:2026 “Security and Resilience — Business Continuity Management Systems — Guidelines for Business Impact Analysis.”

The implementation of the new standard will make an important contribution to ensuring a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the impact of disruptions on business operations in enterprises and organizations. It will facilitate the identification of critical business processes, accurate assessment of potential risks, and more efficient and effective management of business continuity.

The aforementioned state standard was adopted by the Technical Committee for Standardization on Conformity Assessment (AZSTAND/TC 08) established by the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization and has been included in the State Fund of Normative Documents on Standardization.
