Entrepreneurs were provided with recommendations on protecting consumer interests during the sale of motor vehicles and ensuring compliance with the requirements of relevant legislation.

A meeting was held at the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with representatives of businesses operating in the motor vehicle sales sector.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Azerbaijan Automobile Dealers Association, as well as authorized representatives of official distributors and dealers of nearly 20 automobile brands.

The meeting was held to support the implementation of the tasks set out in the “2026 Roadmap for Promoting the Circulation of Environmentally Friendly and Safe Vehicles and Improving Related Infrastructure.” During the meeting, measures aimed at ensuring consumer satisfaction were discussed.

The participants were provided with explanations of legislative requirements concerning the prevention of practices such as including terms in contracts that restrict consumer rights, violating consumers’ right to information, and failing to comply with warranty obligations. In this regard, the importance of providing consumers with complete and comprehensive information about products was emphasized.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Agency highlighted measures undertaken to promote responsible conduct among market participants and enhance legal awareness.
