The newly adopted state standards establish technical requirements and test methods for agricultural and forestry machinery, as well as their spare parts.

The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), operating under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has adopted new state standards in the field of agricultural and forestry machinery:

• AZS GOST 12.2.002:2026 — Occupational Safety Standards System — Agricultural Machinery — Safety Assessment Methods;
• AZS GOST 17.2.2.02:2026 — Standards and Methods for Determining the Opacity of Exhaust Gases from Diesel Engines, Tractors and Self-Propelled Agricultural Machines;
• AZS GOST 20062:2026 — Tractor Seat;
• AZS GOST 32774:2026 — Agricultural and Forestry Tractors — Traction Devices;
• AZS ISO 27850:2026 — Tractors for Agriculture and Forestry — Falling Object Protective Structures — Test Procedures and Performance Requirements;
• AZS ISO 8084:2026 — Machinery for Forestry — Operator Protective Structures — Laboratory Tests and Performance Requirements;
• AZS ISO 11169:2026 — Machinery for Forestry — Wheeled Special Machines — Vocabulary, Test Methods for Braking Systems and Performance Criteria;
• AZS ISO 5700-2025:2026 — Tractors for Agriculture and Forestry — Roll-Over Protective Structures — Static Test Method and Acceptance Conditions;
• AZS ISO 11512:2026 — Machinery for Forestry — Crawler Special Machines — Performance Criteria for Braking Systems;
• AZS EN 1853:2026 — Agricultural Machinery — Trailers — Safety;
• AZS ECE 112:2026 — Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Motor Vehicle Headlamps Emitting an Asymmetrical Passing Beam or a Driving Beam or Both and Equipped with Filament Lamps or LED Modules;
• AZS ECE 113:2026 — Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Motor Vehicle Headlamps Emitting a Symmetrical Passing Beam or a Driving Beam or Both and Equipped with Filament, Gas-Discharge Light Sources or LED Modules.

The implementation of these state standards will contribute to ensuring the safety of agricultural and forestry machinery and their spare parts, as well as improving the quality of production processes in the relevant sector.

The aforementioned draft state standards were adopted by AZSTAND and included in the State Fund of Normative Documents on Standardization based on proposals submitted by the Technical Committee for Standardization on Agricultural Machinery, Technological Equipment, Components and Tools (AZSTAND/TK 41), established at the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University within the framework of the 2026–2028 National Standardization Program.

Note: The new state standards were developed based on relevant interstate, regional and international standards, as well as the applicable regulations established by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
