The seminar provided entrepreneurs with explanations of legal provisions related to consumer rights protection and facilitated an exchange of views on building consumer trust and enhancing customer satisfaction.

The State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan regularly conducts awareness-raising activities on consumer rights protection for business entities operating in Baku and the regions. As part of these activities, another meeting was organized at the initiative of the State Agency with the support of the Yasamal District Executive Authority.

The event was attended by representatives of the Yasamal District Executive Authority, the Baku City Trade and Services Department, as well as business entities operating in trade, public catering, household services, and other service sectors in the Yasamal district.

During the event, Huseyn Afandiyev, First Deputy Head of the Yasamal District Executive Authority, delivered opening remarks. Presentations were subsequently delivered by Yusif Tapdigli, Head of the Consumer Market Supervision Department of the State Agency, and Elshan Jafarov, Head of the Consumer Rights Protection Department.

Entrepreneurs were informed about the State Agency’s areas of activity, the requirements and regulatory framework of the existing legislation on consumer rights protection, and the obligations of economic entities in this area. The liability measures provided for by legislation in cases of violations were also highlighted.

Detailed information was additionally provided on the mechanisms for reviewing applications submitted to the State Agency and the measures carried out within the framework of consumer market supervision. The important role of the State Agency’s awareness-raising activities in strengthening consumer rights protection was particularly emphasized.
