Representatives of the competition authorities of the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States addressed the meeting held in Shusha, where a Joint Communiqué was signed following the meeting.
The 3rd Meeting of Heads of Competition Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Shusha under the organization of the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The meeting was attended by Elnur Baghirov, Chairman of the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Merey Mukajan, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States; Birol Küle, President of the Turkish Competition Authority; Khalilillo Turakhujayev, Chairman of the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Bolat Sambetov, Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Nurjan Kadirbekova, Deputy Head of the Anti-Monopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic; Csaba Balázs Rigó, President of the Hungarian Competition Authority; and Şifa Kırmızıgil, Chairperson of the Competition Council of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
During the meeting, the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States shared their experiences in the field of competition policy and exchanged views on initiatives aimed at promoting and strengthening mutual cooperation.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Joint Communiqué on the Outcomes of the 3rd Meeting of Heads of Competition Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States.
The document, signed by the heads of the competition authorities of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, sets out common priorities for future activities and envisages expanding cooperation in the field of competition policy.
