The new state standard will contribute to supporting decision-making processes and ensuring efficient use of resources by enabling systematic, consistent, and effective risk assessment in enterprises and organizations.

A new state standard, AZS IEC 31010:2026 “Risk Management — Risk Assessment Techniques,” has been adopted by the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), operating under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The standard provides methodological guidance on the selection and application of risk assessment techniques. The approaches outlined in the standard are aimed at supporting informed decision-making under conditions of uncertainty, establishing a comprehensive and reliable information base on risks, and creating practical opportunities for their application in risk management processes.

The state standard was adopted based on a proposal submitted by the Technical Committee for Standardization on Conformity Assessment (AZSTAND/TC 08) established by AZSTAND. The standard has also been included in the State Fund of Normative Documents on Standardization.
