The “Open Day” provided consumers with information on their fundamental rights, available protection mechanisms, and the requirements established under the applicable legislation.

The State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to carry out awareness-raising activities aimed at enhancing consumers’ legal awareness and promoting knowledge of their rights. As part of these efforts, an “Open Day” for consumers was held in Gabala, organized by Regional Division No. 10 of the State Agency, covering the Oghuz, Gabala, and Ismayilli districts, with the support of the Gabala District Executive Authority.

More than 20 consumers attended the event, which began with a video presentation on the State Agency’s main areas of activity. Participants were subsequently provided with detailed information on the legislative framework governing consumer rights protection, as well as mechanisms for preventing and addressing violations of consumer rights encountered in practice.

The participants were also informed about the roles and responsibilities of relevant central executive authorities and courts in the protection of consumer rights.

During the event, participants’ inquiries concerning alleged violations of consumer rights were addressed, and information was provided on the procedures for submitting applications to the State Agency.
