The meeting provided detailed information on the safety requirements established under the “Technical Regulation on the Safety of Gas Appliances and Equipment”, as well as relevant conformity assessment procedures.
An educational meeting was held by the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for representatives of certification bodies responsible for assessing the conformity of gas-burning appliances and equipment with the requirements of the “Technical Regulation on the Safety of Gas Appliances and Equipment.”
During the meeting, Elmeddin Guluyev, Head of the Department of Standardization, Technical Regulation and Certification at the State Agency, provided information on measures undertaken by the State Agency to establish an effective technical regulation system and outlined recent developments in its implementation mechanisms. It was emphasized that the meeting was aimed at providing the necessary guidance and support to local and foreign economic operators engaged in the import, production, and sale of gas appliances and equipment to ensure compliance with the new requirements.
Participants were also provided with comprehensive information on the safety requirements established under the “Technical Regulation on the Safety of Gas Appliances and Equipment,” applicable conformity assessment procedures, and new mechanisms to be introduced in this area. A presentation on the preparation of conformity assessment documentation was also delivered.
The meeting was held in an interactive format and concluded with a Q&A session, during which participants’ questions were addressed.
