The training program focused on international best practices, innovative solutions, and digitalization trends in electronic public procurement, as well as ways to make procurement processes more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly.

Representatives of the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the E-Procurement Training Program for the Asia-Pacific Region held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Public Procurement Service of the Republic of Korea, and the Korea Institute of Procurement, the training provided comprehensive information on the Republic of Korea’s electronic public procurement system, KONEPS, including its development stages, core functionalities, technological solutions, and the organization and management of electronic procurement processes.

As part of the program, representatives of participating countries delivered country reports on public procurement. In this context, Rauf Azizli, an employee of the State Agency, delivered a presentation titled “Country Report on E-Procurement in the Republic of Azerbaijan.” The presentation covered the legal and institutional framework governing public procurement in Azerbaijan, the implementation of the electronic procurement system, the current capabilities of the etender.gov.az portal, and recent developments in the field.

Throughout the training, participants exchanged views with representatives from various countries on the development and advancement of electronic procurement systems, international best practices, and current challenges in the field.
