The meeting addressed ongoing cooperation among CIS member states in the fields of technical regulation, standardization, metrology, conformity assessment, and accreditation.

A delegation led by Ilgar Hasanov, Deputy Head of the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, paid a working visit to the Kyrgyz Republic and participated in the 69th meeting of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC).

The meeting brought together representatives of the State Agency, including officials from the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND), the Azerbaijan Institute of Metrology (AzMI), and the Azerbaijan Accreditation Centre (AzAK), as well as representatives of national standardization, metrology, conformity assessment, and accreditation bodies of CIS member states, the CIS Executive Committee, and the EASC Standards Bureau.

The participants discussed the activities and operational results of the Interstate Council, developments in technical regulation, standardization, metrology, conformity assessment, and accreditation across CIS member states, as well as the outcomes of meetings held by the Council’s Scientific and Technical Commissions and Working Groups.

The agenda also included an exchange of views on the activities of the EASC Standards Bureau, the implementation of the Action Plan for the Interstate Council Development Strategy through 2030, and other issues of mutual interest.
