The meeting provided detailed information on the safety requirements set out in the “Technical Regulation on the Safety of Gas Appliances and Equipment” and the relevant conformity assessment procedures.
An educational meeting was held by the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with representatives of business entities engaged in the production, import, and sale of gas-burning appliances and equipment.
The meeting aimed to inform participants about the safety requirements established under the “Technical Regulation on the Safety of Gas Appliances and Equipment,” conformity assessment procedures, the obligations of economic operators, and the proper application of the technical regulation.
During the event, Elmeddin Guluyev, Head of the Department of Standardization, Technical Regulation and Certification at the State Agency, highlighted the measures taken to strengthen the technical regulation system and provided information on new legal mechanisms in this area.
The participants were subsequently informed about regulatory requirements governing the application of conformity marks to appliances and equipment placed on the consumer market. Recommendations were also provided to economic operators engaged in the import, production, and sale of such products to ensure that their activities comply with the new regulatory framework.
The meeting concluded with an interactive exchange of views, during which participants shared their feedback and proposals.
