The document will help to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ standardization bodies and to implement joint initiatives in areas of mutual interest.
The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), operating under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) have signed an Action Plan for 2026–2027 aimed at further developing cooperation and expanding joint activities into new areas.
The document was signed at a meeting between the AZSTAND delegation and TSE representatives held within the framework of the annual meeting of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in Paris, France.
The Action Plan envisages cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity management systems, halal certification, greenhouse gas emissions management and other fields, taking into account current challenges and priorities.
Under the document, the parties plan to share experience and knowledge in these areas, organize training programmes for specialists and carry out joint activities in standardization.
